PAYETTE, Idaho (TCN) -- A mother has been arraigned on two first-degree murder charges in connection with the deaths of her 18-month-old twins last year.According to a two-page indictment filed June 29 and obtained by KTVB, 23-year-old Andrea Shaw is accused of killing her twins, Dallas and Tyson, by suffocation in May 2025. Four witnesses, including a pediatrician, were examined in front of a grand jury. On May 1, 2025, police were called to a residence in a mobile home park regarding a report of a possibly dead child, according to a press release from the Payette Police Department. Both Dallas and Tyson were found in the bed they shared. They were pronounced dead at the scene, and autopsies of the children were scheduled to take place the following day.A few days later, Shaw and her husband appeared on a podcast funded by an anti-vaccine advocacy group and claimed vaccines caused the twins’ deaths, KVUE reports.Shaw’s attorney, Joseph Filicetti, said he also believes that the deaths were caused by vaccines, according to KVUE. He said, “They were looking at it as a vaccine death, and that’s still what I believe it to be,” Filicetti said. “I’m not a medical expert, but the medical experts I have, [they] go through a series of [steps] when looking at different complications.” Shaw was arrested without incident on June 30 and charged with two counts of first-degree murder, according to the Payette Police Department. According to KTVB, Shaw delivered another baby on June 25. The baby is currently in her husband’s care, and Shaw is being held on $2 million bond.MORE: Metro Detroit mom sentenced to 7 days in jail for not vaccinating her child — True Crime NewsO.C. doctor, a leading vaccine skeptic, put on probation by California medical board — True Crime NewsAnti-vax protestor accused of throwing blood at California lawmakers charged — True Crime News
