    Missouri carjacking suspect allegedly impersonated cop, claimed larvae were eating his brain

    COLUMBIA, Mo. (TCN) -- A 28-year-old man has been arrested and charged after allegedly impersonating a police officer while attempting a carjacking.April 29, police responded to an attempted carjacking at an airport, KQFX reports. The victim, whose name has not been released, told authorities that a man, Brian Koch, allegedly approached her when she was sitting in her car. He allegedly told her he was a police officer and that he needed a ride. When the victim asked to see proof, he allegedly showed her a gun and a machete and attempted to get into the car; the victim drove away and notified police. According to court documents obtained by KRCG, authorities were able to apprehend Koch as he was allegedly attempting to flee the scene. They said Koch had a knife, a plastic fake police badge, and a used hypodermic needle with a clear substance inside. According to the court documents, police believe the substance to be methamphetamine.After Koch was detained, he allegedly told police that larvae were eating his brain and that he did not know his name or birthday. KQFX reports that Koch was charged with carjacking, illegal gun possession, three counts of armed criminal action, two counts of illegal use of a weapon, a count of misdemeanor impersonating a law enforcement officer, and two counts of tampering with evidence. He is being held without bond.MORE: Woman accused of impersonating police officer and detaining man she believed was an illegal immigrant — True Crime NewsS.C. man accused of impersonating officer, threatening to arrest victim unless he gave him cash — True Crime News
