    Parents charged with second-degree murder after 2-year-old dies of kratom and nitrous oxide overdose

    CONYERS, Ga. (TCN) -- The parents of a 2-year-old girl have been charged with second-degree murder after a toxicology report confirmed she died from an overdose of kratom and nitrous oxide.

    According to the Conyers Police Department, officers responded to a report of an unresponsive child on May 3. The child, 2-year-old Naveah Wynn, was pronounced dead at a local hospital. During a search of the home following an investigation, detectives allegedly found used nitrous oxide canisters and an empty container that had held kratom capsules.
