Utah parents who spent less than a minute with daughter the day before she died of starvation get 2 to 30 years in prison

NIBLEY, Utah (TCN) -- A mother and father have each been sentenced to two consecutive terms of one to 15 years in prison for child abuse homicide in connection with the neglect-related death of their daughter last year.

Dispatchers advised her to perform lifesaving measures, but she claimed the child was “beyond help” and did not do so. Murray claimed she believed her daughter had died of sudden infant death syndrome (SIDS) and that “it was her time, I guess.”
