    Tonight: President Trump said he would speak with Russian President Putin ‘very soon’ following the mysterious death of a lab worker at an anti-plague lab in Siberia. Plus, Christa Pike would have been the first woman executed by Tennessee in more than 200 years, but somehow she survived. Late today her attorneys released an update on her condition. And for the first time, NBC News is seeing the 298 gold bars seized from CIA officer David Rush’s home, along with stacks of cash and luxury watches. Also, California Democrats are accusing President Trump of suggesting Iran could attack two American cities with a nuclear weapon. The White House said he was touting his efforts to keep those cities safe by removing the Iranian nuclear threat. Plus, a man is being charged with attempted murder after he was caught on camera allegedly slapping and trying to drown a 21-year-old. And in 'Good News Tonight' Students and teachers at a Tallahassee, Florida middle school came together to surprise a teacher before she went out on medical leave. Doctors found a tumor in Jessica Kostelak’s brain this summer. Ahead of the planned surgery to remove it, her school community wanted to make sure she felt supported.
